I was going to place this in Suggestions but I truly have no strong ideas about how to fix it. That can be more or less my opinion rather than a proposal ... yeah. I truly think the botting problem may be traced back into the largest issue with Runescape, which is grinding. I haven't played WoW, or any other MMO, however from what I know it has far less of a mill, as well as having less bots running around.

I highly doubt Blizzard is better than Jagex at bot fighting, which in and of itself is utterly futile. I understand people take pride in their stats, and the time it took to receive them, but let's be honest here. Grinding doesn't mean much. It doesn't take any sort of skill or effort, just spare time and willingness to buy RuneScape gold squander hours doing repetitive tasks.
